Here, everything is within walking distance: the cobbled streets steeped in history, the charming terraces, the fine restaurants, the boutique shops and the treasures of Rouen’s heritage. Whether you’re visiting for a discovery break, a business trip or a few days of remote working, you’ll enjoy a warm, elegant and ideally located retreat, set to the vibrant rhythm of the city centre.
Completely renovated in March 2026, this magnificent one-bedroom flat elegantly combines the charm of the city centre with the comfort of an interior designed to make you feel instantly at home. Bright, unobstructed and quiet thanks to its location on a pedestrianised street, it offers the rare luxury of enjoying the bustle of the city centre without the associated disturbances.
As soon as you enter, you’ll discover a living room bathed in light, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The living area, with its fully fitted and equipped open-plan kitchen, has been designed to ensure every moment is simple and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee, share a meal after a day out, work in comfort, or simply relax in the lounge, settled on the sofa in front of the television, in a cosy and soothing atmosphere.
The modern, fully equipped kitchen allows you to live at your own pace, just like at home: hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine and all the necessary utensils are at your disposal. Whether you’re staying for one night, a weekend or longer, everything has been designed to make your stay as smooth and comfortable as possible.
When it comes to sleeping, the bedroom offers a true haven of calm. Overlooking the courtyard, it promises peaceful nights, far from the hustle and bustle, in a comfortable double bed (140x200cm), ideal for recharging your batteries after a day exploring Rouen. The modern and elegant bathroom features a shower, a vanity unit, a toilet and a hairdryer. An ironing kit is also available.
Families with young children will particularly appreciate the facilities provided on site, including a cot and a high chair that attaches to the table, allowing you to travel light and enjoy your stay with peace of mind.
Bed linen and towels are provided for two people. If you wish to use the sofa bed, the corresponding linen can be provided for an additional €12 — simply let us know before your arrival.
The apartment does not have a private parking space, but you will easily find parking options nearby, in the surrounding streets or at the Vieux-Marché pay-and-display car park.
The accommodation is managed by the L’ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.00 pm to 9.00 pm, to assist you throughout your stay. We thank you in advance for taking care of the property and respecting the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood.

The Vieux-Marché district in Rouen is one of the city’s most iconic and historic areas, notably featuring its famous square, the Church of Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc and the Halles with its covered market. The neighbourhood is brought to life by numerous cafés, brasseries and restaurants offering a varied cuisine, ranging from Norman specialities to international dishes. The establishments’ terraces offer pleasant views of the square and are ideal for relaxing.
The half-timbered buildings, often colourful, and the cobbled streets give the neighbourhood a medieval feel. The historic houses and well-preserved buildings immerse visitors in Rouen’s history. It is worth noting that the Place du Vieux-Marché regularly hosts cultural events, markets and festivals. This makes it a lively and dynamic place all year round.

From Place du Vieux Marché in Rouen, you can get around with ease!
1. Bus: Several bus routes pass near Place du Vieux Marché.
Routes such as the F2, F3, 6, and 7 can take you to various destinations in Rouen and the surrounding area.
2. Metro: The ‘Palais de Justice’ metro station is just a few minutes’ walk from Place du Vieux Marché. You can take the T1 or Appartement line from this station to travel to other parts of the city.
3. Tram: Although the tram does not pass directly through Place du Vieux Marché, you can easily walk to one of the nearest tram stops, such as ‘Palais de Justice’.
## Notes
Please note that the building does not have a lift and the flat is on the second floor. Guests with reduced mobility or those carrying large suitcases may find access difficult.
Check-in is via the ArchiDuchesse concierge from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm, and check-out must be completed by 11.00 am at the latest.
The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week
(from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm). In the apartment, all our guests are provided with linen, essential toiletries for the day (shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, toilet paper, etc.), as well as one large towel per person, along with tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit containing kitchen bin bags, bathroom bin bags, a sponge and washing-up liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.
We are committed to providing a pleasant experience; however, please note that we are not a hotel service. Any mid-stay cleaning, changing of linen/towels, restocking of essentials, or deliveries can be arranged on request at an additional cost. Follow the guidelines regarding timings and the use of facilities, and respect the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood. And if any minor issues arise, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Please note that parties are strictly prohibited (€250 will be deducted from the deposit), the property is entirely non-smoking (€50 will be deducted from the deposit), pets are not allowed (€50 will be deducted from the deposit) unless prior request and approval have been granted by us, and any loss, theft or damage will be charged at the actual replacement value.
