Located on the quays of Le Havre in Rouen, this 126m2 Haussmann-style apartment offers a refined setting and a breathtaking view of the Seine. Combining old-world charm with modern touches, this spacious 3-bedroom apartment is ideal for up to 5 travellers. For optimal use, we recommend this magnificent accommodation for 4 adults and one child. As soon as you enter, you will be charmed by the generous volumes and period mouldings. The solid oak parquet flooring and high ceilings give the place a warm and luminous atmosphere.

L'Ambassadeur has two spacious rooms with king size beds, carefully furnished to provide comfortable and elegant spaces in which to rest. A third extra room with a cosy queen size bed is the ideal place for children.

Two bathrooms will allow you to enjoy moments of relaxation. You will also find a separate toilet in the corridor.

The living room, bathed in natural light, invites you to relax with its large windows overlooking the Seine, while the fully equipped kitchen will allow you to prepare your meals, which can be enjoyed around a convivial round table. You will appreciate the many appliances at your disposal: the refrigerator/freezer, the dishwasher, the hotplates, the hood, the toaster, the kettle, the Nespresso coffee machine, all the necessary kitchenware, as well as the washing machine, the dryer and the ironing equipment!

Enjoy the terrace for relaxing outdoors, the fibre optic Wi-Fi, or the television. With its central location a stone's throw from the historic centre of Rouen and the banks of the Seine, this apartment combines luxury, comfort and practicality for an unforgettable stay in the heart of the city!

Bed linen and household linen are provided in the accommodation for your comfort. No private parking is available with the accommodation. However, you can park your vehicle in the streets surrounding the accommodation according to the city's current parking rates. The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, which can be reached 7 days a week from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 21:00. We thank you for taking care of the accommodation and for respecting the premises and the neighbourhood. To this end, you will be asked to provide a bank imprint via a secure link in order to finalise your reservation and obtain the access codes to the accommodation.

## Neighborhood

The Vieux-Marché district is one of the most emblematic and historic areas of Rouen, in Normandy, France. It is located right in the heart of the city and is central to Rouen's history, architectural heritage and social life.

The Vieux-Marché is particularly famous for its link with Joan of Arc. It was here, in 1431, that the famous French heroine was sentenced to death and burnt alive after her trial. A small symbolic pyre marks the exact spot where this tragic event took place. This square therefore embodies a large part of France's and Rouen's collective memory.

The Place du Vieux-Marché is a focal point for life and meetings in Rouen. Today, it is surrounded by half-timbered buildings typical of Normandy, giving the area a unique medieval atmosphere. These half-timbered houses are often well preserved and are now home to cafés, restaurants and shops. The square's terraces are a particularly popular place to enjoy the atmosphere.

The church of Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc, built in 1979, is a modern monument that contrasts with the traditional architecture of the surrounding area. The church was built as a tribute to Joan of Arc and has a bold, inverted boat-shaped design, recalling both Viking longships and the maritime history of Normandy. Inside, there are magnificent stained glass windows salvaged from the former church of Saint-Vincent, which was destroyed during the Second World War.

The Vieux-Marché district is one of the liveliest places in Rouen, with its many restaurants, bars and terraces. It's a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. In summer, the terraces are particularly lively, and in winter, the Christmas markets provide a festive atmosphere.

As well as its historic sites, the district is renowned for its gastronomy. There are a number of establishments where you can sample typical Normandy dishes, such as the famous apple pie, Camembert cheese and oysters. Many traditional restaurants serve dishes based on local produce.

Although the Place du Vieux-Marché has lost its original role as a central market (most markets are now held in other parts of the city), it remains an important location for local businesses. The market is often still active on certain days, offering fresh, local produce to Rouennais and visitors alike.

The Vieux-Marché district is therefore both a vibrant testament to Rouen's medieval past and a modern magnet for cultural, gastronomic and social activities. It's a must for those who want to discover the city's history while enjoying its contemporary dynamism.

## Transit

Thanks to its location, you can take advantage of all the transport links nearby.

Rouen is served by a bus and metro network operated by the Astuce company. On the metro, there are two lines (T1 and Appartement) that pass close to the city centre, with stations such as Théâtre des Arts and Palais de Justice, both about 5 to 10 minutes' walk from the Gros-Horloge. Several bus routes serve the centre of Rouen. Stops close to the Gros-Horloge include Théâtre des Arts and Place du Vieux-Marché, which are served by a number of bus routes, including F1, F2 and 11.

Rouen also has a self-service bicycle hire service called Cy'clic. There are several cycle stations close to the Gros-Horloge, such as those at Théâtre des Arts and Place du Vieux-Marché.

Taxis are available throughout the city, and it's fairly easy to find one near the historic centre, particularly around the Place du Vieux-Marché or major thoroughfares such as Rue Jeanne d'Arc. Alternatively, apps like Uber are also available in Rouen.

Rouen Rive Droite station is around 10 minutes' walk from the Gros-Horloge. From here, you can take trains to Paris, Le Havre, Caen and other towns in the region.

Please note that the building has a lift and that the flat is located on the 5th and top floor.

Arrivals are via the ArchiDuchesse keymaster from 16:00 until 20:00 and departures must be no later than 11:00.

The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10am to 9pm). In the flat, all our guests receive household linen, basic necessities for the day (shampoo, shower gel, hand gel, toilet paper, etc.) as well as a large towel per person, together with tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit with kitchen bin bag, bathroom bin bag, sponge and dishwasher liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.

We are committed to providing a pleasant experience, however, please note that we are not a hotel service. Any mid-stay cleaning, linen/towel freshening, replenishment of essentials or deliveries can be arranged on request at an additional cost. When you confirm your stay, you will receive the ArchiDuchesse tourist booklet, our vouchers with promotional codes for our partners of choice and the arrival instructions for your accommodation.

The Cour de l'Archiduchesse offers a range of services to make your stay as pleasant as possible: baby equipment hire, luggage storage, shuttle service, baby-sitting, gourmet boxes, requests for sightseeing tours, creation of events (wedding proposals, birthdays, room themes, etc.) and much more! For any special requests, please contact the Cour de l'ArchiDuchesse.

Please note that this flat is the owners' main residence. Therefore, they live in the flat and rent it out when they are away, allowing travellers to stay in an authentic domestic environment. The owners are happy to make their equipment available to you and provide you with cupboard space to organise your belongings.

Taking advantage of a rental also means respecting a few rules to ensure that everything runs smoothly and to avoid any surprises with the deposit! Remember to look after the property as if it were your own: avoid damage, respect the furniture and leave it clean when you leave. Respect the rules on opening hours and the use of equipment, and respect the peace and quiet of your neighbours. And if you have any concerns, don't hesitate to let us know. Don't forget that parties are strictly forbidden (€250 deducted from the deposit), that the accommodation is entirely non-smoking (€50 deducted from the deposit), that pets are forbidden (€50 deducted from the deposit) unless requested and agreed in advance by us and that any loss, theft or damage will be invoiced at the actual replacement value.
