Welcome to "Grandpa's Barn" ☀️
This old barn has been completely restored and fitted out for your modern comfort. Much of the old building and its Landes family history have been preserved as much as possible.
This accommodation is a 3-star furnished tourist accommodation, which guarantees you a quality label sought after in vacation rentals.
The accommodation is fenced on three sides and the fourth overlooks the forest. You enjoy a large 1500 m2 garden.
Much of it is decorated in a vintage style, except for the kitchen and shower room, where all the equipment is new and of high quality. It is air-conditioned, designed for 4 people (all ages and is perfect for a couple and 2 children or 4 friends) and includes:
- a bedroom with a double bed;
- a bedroom with a bunk bed;
- a large living room with dining area.
- 2 private terraces, one in front and the other behind the house;
Please note: the front terrace, despite the hedges providing privacy, may have some noise pollution from the main road that passes in front of the house. There is a second one at the back, completely peaceful and surrounded by nature, with a view of the nearby forest. Early in the morning, you may see deer and sometimes wild boar, wood pigeons, robins, thrushes, etc.
During your stay, you will have at your disposal: Wifi, Television, Washing machine, Iron, Hair dryer, Dishwasher, Microwave, Oven, Coffee machine, etc.
There is also a parasol, an outdoor table with deckchairs and an electric griddle to make the most of the outdoor spaces on offer.
Please note that there is a sliding wooden gate that opens and closes with a key and guarantees secure access to the land and the house: it is easy to enter one or two cars safely.

A tourist town in the Landes region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Léon is located 6 km from the ocean, 30 minutes from Bayonne, and a 50-minute drive from Biarritz. On its lake, you can enjoy canoeing, paddleboarding, and fishing. Lake Léon is an ideal setting for young children with its fine sandy beach. You can discover the nature reserve that extends to Moliets by navigating the Huchet current in a boat guided by boatmen. The Palue River, which flows into Lake Léon, is also very popular for guided or unguided canoeing and kayaking trips with a few small eddies, guaranteed fun adrenaline rushes for solo travelers, couples, families, or friends!
In the summer, the market selling local produce from the Landes region is held daily in the village square, a 10-minute walk from the villa. Léon is a lively town with shops open year-round, including a fishmonger, bakeries, butchers, a wine cellar, a cinema, and a cultural center!
Even today, Léon is appreciated for its preserved landscape, its numerous leisure activities, as well as for its respect for Landes traditions, both from a sporting and gastronomic point of view. The nearest beach is only 6 kilometers away and it is the beautiful authentic beach of "la Lette Blanche", but you also have the beaches of Moliets, at a similar distance, large and beautiful beaches of fine sand and dune areas, typical of the Landes.
The famous Vélodysée, the great cycle path that crosses France from Nantes to Hendaye passes right by the house and allows you to take beautiful rides through the pine forests, without difficulty: we can take care of renting your bikes, which will be brought to your home, and returned on site before your departure with our local partners...
