Salom Verd is a house on a former farm that is now entirely dedicated to breeding and revitalising the Mallorcan horse breed. It is a wonderful place to enjoy an unforgettable holiday. The house is surrounded by nature, nestled in a truly tranquil landscape and only 2 kilometres from the small village of Es Llombards. The picturesque village offers two cafes, a bakery and two restaurants. Santanyí, a typical Mallorcan small town with a beautiful, well-preserved town centre, is about 4 km away. Here you can linger in one of the cafés and restaurants undisturbed by the traffic, while the small boutiques with trendy to high-quality clothing tempt you to go shopping. On Saturdays and Wednesdays, a popular weekly market is held between the old town walls and the church. Locals meet here to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, as do German residents and holidaymakers. Handicrafts are on sale to the side of the historic church. Cala Santanyí, a popular beach to visit with children, and the beautiful beach of Cala Llombards can be reached in around 10 minutes by car.
Now back to the house:
The outside area is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room; an ideal place to forget the dark winter days and enjoy the lush nature. The house is situated on a 10,000m2 plot with fig trees, carob trees, palm trees and young olive trees and is completely fenced in with old natural stone walls. The driveway leads past the stables to the house with a well-tended front garden planted with grass. From here you have a wonderful view of the surrounding area and the stables with the horses, which have large areas to run around. There is a covered terrace at the rear of the house with an outdoor barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining. A natural stone rainwater collection basin, formerly used to irrigate the farm, now serves as a tastefully designed pool (8 x 4m depth: 1-1.80m) which is operated with a salt water electrolysis system and no longer chlorine-based. Pool with sun terrace and safety glass surround. At the end of the house there is an outside toilet and a washing machine.
The old farmhouse has been completely renovated and transformed into a modern country house of 130m2. The house is tastefully furnished to a high standard. A door more than 200 years old welcomes the visitor. The entrance area leads to a bright, open-plan living and dining area and an open-plan kitchen. The living and dining area features an Italian teak designer table and cosy sofas. The entire area is flooded with light without being heated by the sunlight (special glazing) and offers a marvellous view of the surrounding area as far as the town of Santanyí in the distance. Large sliding glass doors lead out onto the front terrace. The dining area leads to the open-plan kitchen, which is equipped to a high standard. The house has two double bedrooms. One with walk-in shower en-suite and access to the rear, covered terrace, the other with en-suite bathroom and access to the front terrace.
The house is fully equipped with air conditioning cold/warm 24h.
The horses are not available for riding and please do not feed them.
