Home to William the Conqueror and capital of the Duchy of Normandy, along with Rouen, the city has inherited a very rich architectural heritage, partly destroyed during the Battle of Caen. This city will delight history buffs and offers must-see sites such as the Ducal Castle, the Abbaye aux Dames, the Church of Saint-Pierre, and Rue Froide in the old town!
