The 14th and 13th arrondissements are large, largely residential areas, but they also include some of Paris's most famous attractions: the Montparnasse Tower, the Gare, and the Montparnasse Cemetery. It is also the district of the Catacombs, Denfert-Rochereau, and the lively Rue Daguerre and Rue Mouffetard with their cafés and small shops that will remind you furiously of Rue Montorgueil in the 3rd arrondissement. There are also the Cité Universitaire and the Butte aux Cailles, famous for their liveliness and student life, the Chinese quarters and the Porte d'Orléans, and just a short walk away, for a rest, the beautiful Parc Montsouris.
