The 18th arrondissement is located in the north of Paris and includes the Goutte d'Or and Montmartre districts. The latter is one of the highest hills in Paris, and the view from the top is worth the trip. The Sacré-Coeur church, a bastion of the Commune in the 19th century, Montmartre later became the home of many artists such as Picasso, Dali, Duchamp, Toulouse-Lautrec, and many others. The 18th arrondissement is therefore very contrasting, integrating ethnic blocks into a bourgeois sector or the opposite. The Boulevard de Clichy, near Place Pigalle, has many very pleasant cafés and bars, giving the district a certain dynamism and respectability.
