Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer, a commune in the Var region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, is located on the peninsula of the same name, connected to the mainland by the Isthmus of Sablettes. About fifteen kilometers south of Toulon, it helps define the harbor. Originally composed of islets, it became a single island in the Middle Ages, the island of Sépet, before being annexed to the mainland in the 17th century.
