Cuxac-d'Aude is a French commune located in the northeast of the Aude department in the Occitanie region.
Historically and culturally, the commune is part of the Narbonnais, a region comprising Narbonne and its outskirts, the Clape massif and the lagoon strip of ponds.
Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Aude, the Audié Stream.
The commune has a remarkable natural heritage: two Natura 2000 sites (the "lower course of the Aude" and the "Capestang pond") and three natural areas of ecological, faunal and floral interest.
