The owner's note, Sébastien
If you're a lover of old stones, nature and tranquillity, this former 18th-century mill will be your ideal refuge for a stay at the tip of Finistère. This charming building is ideally situated in the countryside yet close to the sea, with the beaches just 6 km away.
As you enter the house, you'll find a large living room full of charm, with its mix of stone and wooden beams. Although the comforts are fairly basic, this house has everything you need for a pleasant stay.
The separate kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking, and on the ground floor there is a separate toilet and bathroom with shower.
Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed, and 2 single beds on the mezzanine. There is also a separate WC and water point on this floor.
This former mill is set in extensive grounds, providing a real oasis of tranquillity. With its pretty lake and natural surroundings, this is a paradise for nature lovers. It is also a testimony to history, with its old stones and authentic character. The secluded location offers total privacy, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. You can enjoy relaxing walks in the surrounding countryside, cycling, fishing or simply relaxing by the lake.
The little extras you won't find elsewhere? Bed and bathroom linen provided (sheets, covers, pillowcases, towels, tea towels), a welcome basket of 100% local produce and a digital welcome booklet explaining how the house works and advising you on things to do and places to visit.
Less than 30 minutes away, you can discover the most popular tourist spots in the Pays des Abers and the Pays d'Iroise: visit the islands of Ouessant or Molène from the pretty, lively and picturesque port of Le Conquet (you can also leave from Lanildut), discover the 3 Abers and their magnificent landscapes, go for a walk along the wild coast or discover the Ile Vierge lighthouse, visit the Pointe Saint Matthieu, the Château de Kergroadès or the Musée de la Marine in Brest. For art lovers: La Passerelle in Brest, La Fondation Leclerc in Landerneau, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Brest....
For children, there's also the 3 Curés amusement park and Océanopolis (one of Europe's largest aquariums) nearby.
For the more sporty, there are magnificent kitesurfing, windsurfing, paddle and surfing spots nearby. For golfers, there are several nearby, including the Golf des Abers.
