Far from the tourist bustle of the Grande Île, it has a relaxed, local atmosphere that curious travelers will especially appreciate.
Just steps away, the Krutenau neighborhood with its lively terraces, the Quai des Bateliers, and the banks of the Ill invite you to stroll and enjoy beautiful summer evenings.
Notre-Dame Cathedral, Petite France, and the UNESCO-listed historic center are within a 15-minute walk.
Transit
On foot: the Sainte-Madeleine neighborhood is ideal for walkers. Krutenau, the banks of the Ill, and the historic center are within a 15-minute walk. Local shops, bakeries, and restaurants are just a few minutes from the accommodation.
By bike: Strasbourg is one of the most bike-friendly cities in France, and the Sainte-Madeleine neighborhood is well integrated into the bike path network. The Vélhop rental service has nearby stations, making it easy to reach the Grande Île, the European district, or ride along the banks of the Ill at your own pace.
By public transport: several CTS tram and bus stops are within a 10-minute walk, serving the entire city: the central train station, the European district, and the University are all under 20 minutes away.
By car: access to the A35 is quick from the neighborhood, allowing you to reach Obernai (30 min), Colmar (45 min), Mulhouse (1h20), and Basel (1h40).
To visit the historic center, we recommend using public transport or a bike, as parking in the city center is limited and metered.

PLEASE NOTE: the apartment is located on the 4th floor of a historic building with no elevator, which can make carrying luggage upstairs a bit of a workout ;)
