Imagine waking up on a second floor exterior on the mythical Ruda street, where on Sundays the magic of El Rastro literally starts at your doorstep. We open the doors to a 60 m² home bathed in Madrid's natural light, with two bedrooms, a perfect balcony for that morning coffee and the famous Cava Baja just around the corner.

Whether you're coming for a weekend getaway or looking for a comfortable refuge to stay three months, this space is designed to be lived in: fully equipped kitchen, high-speed wifi and a real desk by the window to inspire you whilst you work.

This is the Madrid of food markets, cobbled streets and timeless taverns. And here, you don't look at it from outside; you're inside.

THE ACCOMMODATION

You go up comfortably by lift to the second floor and enter a renovated, luminous and tremendously easy-to-live-in home. Every detail is designed for your comfort.

The heart of the home: An open-plan living-dining room that invites relaxation. It features a very comfortable sofa, a table for sharing dinners or conversations, Smart TV with satellite channels and a dedicated work space: a desk bathed in direct natural light, ideal if you need to work from home or attend meetings with complete peace of mind.

A real kitchen: It is independent and ready for you to cook from the minute. It has a fridge, hob, oven-microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and a complete and well-maintained set of kitchenware. Additionally, you have a washing machine at your disposal throughout your stay.

Rest: Two independent and quiet bedrooms. The main one has a comfortable double bed, and the second has a single bed. Both have spacious wardrobes and we provide you with quality bed linen already prepared.

Spotless bathroom: Complete, modern and functional, with a large shower tray, hairdryer and soft towel sets for each guest.

Natural and efficient air conditioning: The house features silent, designer ceiling fans (Create brand) in the living room and both bedrooms, with various speeds for your comfort. Being an exterior flat with excellent cross-ventilation, the air flows beautifully and stays very fresh even in summer. For winter, the heating keeps the space extremely cosy.

The balcony: Our favourite corner. Overlooking Calle de la Ruda, it's small but has immense charm. It's the place where, almost without realising it, you'll end up having breakfast every day whilst you feel the pulse and life of the neighbourhood.

The entire house is exclusively for you. No hosts at the next door, nor shared spaces. Your own refuge in Madrid.

GUEST ACCESS

You have the entire apartment at your full disposal.
With your maximum comfort in mind, entry is 100% autonomous via an intelligent electronic lock. A few days before your arrival, we'll send you your personal code and a clear guide with photos and instructions.

There are no physical keys to collect or stress about coordinating times: from 15:00 onwards, you can arrive whenever suits you best. Your flight delayed or your train arriving at an odd hour? Don't worry at all, write to us and everything will run smoothly. Plus, the building entrance is secure and the lift takes you to the door, so getting up with suitcases or shopping is very convenient.

BEFORE BOOKING (Total transparency)

We want your stay to be perfect, which is why we prefer to tell you the details as they are:

Air conditioning: As we mentioned, the house cools naturally with cross-ventilation and modern ceiling fans. Being exterior, there's a wonderful breeze; but we don't have air conditioning. If you're the type who needs polar artificial cold in the middle of August, we'd prefer you to know beforehand. In winter, the heating works perfectly.

The Life of El Rastro: We are in the epicentre of Spain's most famous market. On Sunday mornings, the street comes alive with stalls and cheerful bustle until three in the afternoon. For the vast majority, it's a privilege to experience it from the balcony, but if you're looking for a retreat of absolute silence on a Sunday morning, this is not the place.

Continuous Attention: We are a local team, in love with our city, and we are available by message every day for whatever you need. We will be delighted to assist you in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian or Portuguese.

Long Stay: If you stay with us for months, forget about bureaucracy: electricity, water and high-speed wifi are included in the price. Zero paperwork, zero extra bills.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

La Latina is that vibrant Madrid that everyone is looking for and almost no one finds at . It's the Madrid of markets, of traditional façades and plazas where having a vermouth is almost a religion.

A 3-minute walk away you have the Mercado de la Cebada, perfect for buying fresh local produce.

Around the corner awaits Cava Baja, probably the street with the best (and largest) concentration of taverns and restaurants in all of Spain.

Taking a wonderful stroll you'll reach Plaza Mayor and Mercado de San Miguel in 9 minutes, Puerta del Sol in 12, and the Reina Sofía Museum in 10.

On Sundays, El Rastro Market starts 50 metres from your door, at Plaza de Cascorro. You get up early, stroll around looking for treasures and end up having a few beers on any sunny terrace.

If you need greenery and open spaces, Madrid Río and the Matadero cultural centre are just 15 minutes away walking downhill along the Ribera de Curtidores.

HOW TO GET AROUND

The location allows you to forget about transport for almost everything. Walking, you reach the historic heart in minutes (Ópera, Sol, Lavapiés, Triangle of Art).

Metro: You have La Latina station (Line 5) a 2-minute walk away, and Tirso de Molina (Line 1) a 5-minute walk. With these you can get to Gran Vía, Chueca or the Salamanca neighbourhood very quickly.

Train: Atocha station (AVE) is about a 15-minute walk away or two quick metro stops.

Airport: From Barajas (Adolfo Suárez) you'll take about 25-30 minutes by taxi/Uber (13 km), or you can get there comfortably by Metro (L8 to Nuevos Ministerios, change to L10 and L5).

Car and Bike: You have BiciMAD stations very close by. The neighbourhood is very pedestrian-friendly, but street parking is difficult (SER Zone for residents). If you come by car, we recommend going directly to a nearby public car park.

HOUSE RULES

We want to keep the flat impeccable for you and for the neighbours who live in the building all year round. Therefore:

100% smoke-free space (smoking is not permitted inside or on the balcony).

We do not accept pets.

Parties, events or excessive noise are prohibited. We ask you to respect quiet hours from 22:00 onwards.

Maximum occupancy is 3 guests (strictly those listed in the booking).
