The 7th arrondissement is southwest of the city center, and includes the tip of the Old Port and the Frioul Islands. It is one of the city's most sought-after neighborhoods, notably as it is home to the immense golden statue of the Notre Dame de la Garde basilica, a Marseille emblem. This arrondissement also includes one of the oldest Christian monuments in France: the Abbey of Saint-Victor; as well as Fort Saint-Nicolas and the Palais du Pharo.
You will discover the narrow, steep streets of the Endoume and Saint-Lambert districts, as well as the bourgeois and modern buildings that alternate with numerous stalls on the sidewalks. The beautiful villas hidden in the winding streets make this a privileged neighborhood, difficult to access by public transport or car.
