Villanova is surrounded by the municipalities of Alata and Ajaccio. Very close to the city center of the latter, the town has become “a suburb” of Ajaccio. The habitat is grouped in the main village of Villanova and in four hamlets San Fedele, Poggio, Scaglioli as well as on the seaside (south shore of the Gulf of Lava) I Costi di Villanova and Capo di Feno which is home to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Ajaccian Country. The town is bathed by the Prunelli.
