The Jardin des Vestiges, discovered in the 20th century, houses the remains of Marseille's ancient port and is a quiet and pleasant place to stroll. The atmosphere is warm and lively! You'll find various restaurants typical of the Old Port, while also having shopping streets such as Rue de la République or Rue du Paradis at your disposal. Public transportation is very common in this district, making all parts of the city accessible.
