The 2nd arrondissement is located at the southern end of the peninsula formed by the Saône and the Rhône. It's a bit like the heart of Lyon, one of the shopping districts with numerous stores, pedestrian streets, and the largest square in Europe, Place Bellecour, with the famous statue of Louis XIV in its center.
