A renowned winter sports resort, La Plagne is located in the Tarentaise Valley, in the municipalities of Aime-la-Plagne, Champagny-en-Vanoise, and La Plagne-Tarentaise. Located in the Savoie department, the site was created in 1961, in its current form.
Highlighted during the organization of the bobsleigh and luge events at the Albertville Winter Olympics in 1992, the resort of La Plagne is today a popular place to stay for sports and mountain enthusiasts.
