Fréjus is a seaside resort and tourist destination on the French Riviera. It has also been classified as a City of Art and History. It was originally a Roman city founded in 49 BC to oppose the city of Marseille, which then dominated the region. Fréjus is the site with the largest concentration of ancient remains in France after Arles. It is also home to the François Léotard Nature Park (an outdoor sports complex with numerous events in the summer).
