Le Vassily is a spacious, bright apartment located on the 2nd floor of an 18th-century bourgeois building in the heart of Bordeaux's golden triangle and just a short walk from Place des Quinconces.

The building, built in the late 18th century and featuring classical architecture, is located on a courtyard shaded by lime trees, halfway between Place Tourny and the famous Place des Quinconces, whose 12 hectares of tree-lined esplanade make it the largest square in Europe. This historic heart of the city, which hosts numerous cultural and popular events, is also a public transport hub serving the entire Bordeaux metropolitan area. This old building does not have an elevator.
Play of materials and colors
In the large living room, the understated decor, featuring oak, walnut, leather, and linen, coexists with works by the Russian-born French painter Vassily Kandinsky, the founder of the abstract art movement. His famous compositions of geometric shapes in vibrant colors form a complex, elusive, and energetic whole.

For furniture and lighting, craftsmanship, French manufacturing and “upcycled” materials were favored.
A queen-size bed and plenty of storage space in the two large bedrooms. The bathroom features a walk-in shower and hairdryer. There's a separate toilet. A dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, an induction hob, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee machine, an oven, and a large refrigerator are included in the functional kitchen, which is bathed in natural light.
In this old but well-insulated apartment, blackout curtains and ceiling fans have been installed to keep things cool in summer and warm in winter.

On one side, the neighborhood is bordered by the Cours de l'Intendance, the Cours Georges-Clémenceau, and the Cours Xavier-Arnozan, the famous Golden Triangle with beautiful views of the Place de la Comédie, the Place Tourny, the Place des Quinconces, and the Grand Théâtre. The Place des Grands Hommes, a neoclassical neighborhood, reflects the new vision of urban planning after the French Revolution. There are many English-style boutiques.
